Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Friends,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the web pages of the Academy of St. Therese. I hope these pages reflect the learning, the sharing, the joy and the Catholicism that is the fabric of our everyday life. I invite you to enjoy the pages here, and beyond that, to visit us at the Academy.

Over the time I have worked and worshiped here, I have gotten to know the teachers and instructional aides who make the Academy of St. Therese such a wonderful place to work, learn and grow. I have no doubt that, with these individuals, we will continue to ensure that the youth of Northeast Bergen County and our surrounding parishes receive a strong academic education, solidly based in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Roman Catholic Church.

As for some of my background, I am a lifelong resident of Bergen County and a product of Catholic education, starting with elementary school and including one of the Catholic high schools of our Archdiocese. My undergraduate degree in education was earned at Villanova University, an Augustinian institution of higher learning. The first half of my career was in special education settings, focusing on challenged, exceptional learners. I have also, for two decades, served as a principal in an elementary school setting here in Bergen County.

For over thirty years, I have been a member of St. Therese of Lisieux Parish. This is where I was married and where my children received their religious instruction. It is an honor for me, therefore, to serve the school and parish in my role as principal.I maintain an open-door policy. I look forward to meeting each one of you through the year. Please feel free to contact the office at any time.

Sincerely,

Glenn R. Clark

Principal
